Power California Action has contributed to significant statewide victories on issues impacting communities of color across the state.
In 2016, MIV Action Fund (now known as Power California Action Fund) trained more than 90 campaign leaders in 23 counties across California. As a result of our efforts, 42,000 voters pledged their support to vote yes for Propositions 55, 56 & 57.
Working with our community partners, Power California Action ran a statewide signature gathering campaign to advance the California Schools & Local Communities Funding Act. This act would close property tax loopholes for corporations and ensure stable funding for California schools and communities. Our partners gathered over 4,000 signatures which helped ensure that the measure will be in front of the voters on the California Ballot in 2020.
